Aeroflot delays and cancels flights amid Moscow airspace restrictions

Aeroflot is delaying and cancelling some flights because of restrictions at Moscow's airports on October 16, the airline said. Some services have been diverted to alternate airports.
Rosaviatsiya previously announced temporary arrival and departure restrictions at Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky. Aeroflot said it was adjusting its schedule in response to the restrictions across the Moscow aviation hub.
Flights will operate after restrictions are lifted, the airline said. It warned that departure times from alternate airports might change again if crew rest is required.
Passengers should check the online departure board or the Manage Booking section of Aeroflot's website before travelling to the airport. The airline asked people whose flights have been cancelled not to come to the airport.
Aeroflot said its ground services and representative offices were working with additional resources. Passengers waiting for departure are being provided with assistance under Russia's federal aviation rules.
