Alexandrova beats Guo to set up Kostyuk match in Ningbo

Ekaterina Alexandrova reached the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, China. The Russian defeated Guo Hanyu 6-2, 6-3.

Alexandrova is ranked 33rd in the WTA standings, while China’s Guo is ranked 189th.

Alexandrova will next face Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk, the world No. 10 and the tournament’s third seed.
