Cassation court upholds restrictions on access to Wheely
Russia's Second Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction has upheld restrictions on access to chauffeur service Wheely, the court's press office told RIA Novosti.
The restrictions cover information on the service's website and its applications in the App Store and Google Play. Moscow's Meshchansky District Court ordered them in April 2025 following a prosecutor's lawsuit.
The prosecutor brought the case over the service's refusal to submit driver information and real-time vehicle location data to a government regional navigation system. The procedures and deadlines for sharing the information were established in 2020 following a meeting of an anti-terrorism commission.
