Amazon plans more than €16 billion in German investment in 2027
Amazon announced plans to invest more than €16 billion in Germany in 2027, presenting the program at the federal government’s investment summit in Berlin.
The total includes €4.8 billion earmarked for expanding the Amazon Web Services cloud region in Frankfurt. The company linked the project to demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The plans also cover logistics and Amazon Leo satellite internet. Amazon has secured 24 rocket launches with Arianespace to deploy its satellite network.
New Prime Video projects made with German production studios are also part of the program, with releases planned through the end of 2027.
