Officials report two police officers injured near Akashwani Bhawan in Delhi

Two police personnel were injured near Delhi’s Akashwani Bhawan during the October 10 protests, officials said. They alleged that around 25–30 demonstrators crossed barricades on Imtiaz Ali Marg around noon and threw stones at security personnel.
The Hindu attributed the incident account to officials. Some members of the group were detained. Individual responsibility for throwing stones and the circumstances of injuries remain distinct from participation in a protest.
The Cockroach Janata Party, or CJP, demonstration targeted Election Commission chief Gyanesh Kumar. It was scheduled for 10:30 at Jantar Mantar, but police refused permission and blocked access. Prohibitory measures were in force.
Police reported about 500 detentions at the time of this daytime report. That was an early estimate rather than a final total for the day. Protesters attempted to regroup in different locations, including Connaught Place, and police chased and detained participants.
New Delhi district was divided into 20 sectors monitored by senior officers. Police and paramilitary personnel controlled key intersections and approach roads to prevent gatherings near Jantar Mantar.
The Hindu also recalled the detention of Abhijit Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka after arrival at Delhi airport. Some participants shouted slogans against police and Inquilab Zindabad while being taken away in buses.
