Anton Mitryushkin singles out Nigeria among Russia's opponents

Lokomotiv goalkeeper Anton Mitryushkin described Russia's match against Nigeria as particularly interesting after the national team camp. He also said he had always been motivated to play for his country.
The goalkeeper gave his assessment in an interview with Sport-Express. Asked whether motivation in the national team had improved, he said the desire to play had been present on each of the relatively few occasions when he had joined the squad.
Mitryushkin also spoke positively about the opponents at the completed camp. He said the teams Russia faced were of a good standard, and Nigeria's performance met the expectations held by the Russian side.
He clarified that Nigeria had not so much surprised him as played in the way Russia anticipated. His comments assessed the match and its opposition rather than announcing any change in his own role within the national team.
