Applications for next Rodnaya Igrushka competition to open in November

Applications for the next Rodnaya Igrushka toy competition will open in November, according to Maxim Dreval, director general of Russia's Znanie Society.

Dreval announced the timetable at an awards ceremony at the Russia National Centre on October 19. He said organisers had already selected the theme for the next season.

The competition began in 2024 on President Vladimir Putin's initiative. It is organised by the Znanie Society and the Movement of the First.

The project supports the development and production of original Russian games and toys drawing on traditional spiritual and moral values.
