Armen Margaryan leaves sporting director role at Baltika

Kaliningrad club Baltika announced that sporting director Armen Margaryan had left his position by mutual agreement. The Russian Premier League club confirmed the departure on October 9.
Margaryan had held the role since November 2023. Baltika thanked him for his contribution, citing the team’s Russian Cup runner-up finish, First League title and best result in the Premier League.
The club finished sixth in the Russian Premier League last season. After nine rounds of the current campaign, Baltika stands eighth in the table.
The club also highlighted players who moved to leading Russian teams for record fees during his tenure. In the latest transfer window, Kevin Andrade joined Zenit, goalkeeper Maksim Borisko moved to CSKA and midfielder Nikolay Titkov signed for Lokomotiv.
RBC cited Transfermarkt figures of €3.5 million, €2 million and €1.2 million respectively for those deals. Andrade’s transfer represented a club record.
