Mishin praises Trusova after Denis Ten Memorial victory

Coach Alexei Mishin praised Alexandra Trusova’s performance at the Denis Ten Memorial, telling Sport-Express that she is skating better than before. His comment followed her victory in the women’s competition.
Trusova, 22, who competes under her married surname Ignatova, finished with 226.01 points across the two programmes. She scored 77.39 in the short programme and 148.62 in the free skate. The women’s result was decided on October 9.
South Korea’s Kim Yu-jae placed second with 209.20 points, followed by Kazakhstan’s Sofia Samodelkina with 204.36. The winner’s advantage over her closest rival was 16.81 points.
Mishin congratulated Trusova and highlighted the improvement in her skating. The Denis Ten Memorial runs in Almaty from October 8 to 10, with the women’s competition completed before the event’s final day.
