Burger King manager says video authors quit before publication

Two Vladivostok Burger King workers whose videos preceded the closure of two restaurants had resigned before posting the footage, territorial manager Alexey Shavsha told RIA Novosti on 9 October.
Shavsha said the recordings were made in early or mid-September and posted after the employees left the company. He said one former worker was 19 and the other, aged 16, had taken temporary work during the summer and autumn.
The footage was recorded in the kitchen of the restaurant on Semyonovskaya Street. One clip shows an employee displaying a contraceptive item lying beside burgers, while another shows a worker playing with a football in the kitchen.
Burger King Russia had previously announced that operations at two franchise restaurants in Vladivostok were suspended and further cooperation ended after the recordings appeared. The regional Rospotrebnadzor office requested explanations from the restaurant about the incidents shown.
