Coalition reports interception of three drones north of Riyadh

The Saudi-led coalition reported intercepting and destroying three drones north of Riyadh on October 13. Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki published the statement on X.
The announcement gives the coalition’s account of the air-defence operation. It did not identify who launched the drones, their precise targets or where debris fell. Those details have not been independently established in the material reviewed.
A day earlier, according to Arab News, the coalition intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the Saudi capital. That incident occurred on October 12 and is separate from the latest report involving three drones.
Amid the escalation, Air India announced the cancellation of all its flights to and from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah until October 17, Arab News reported, citing the airline. Affected passengers were offered full refunds.
