Saudi-led coalition reports missile interception over Al-Kharj
Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said air defences intercepted a ballistic missile over Al-Kharj governorate. He attributed the launch to the Houthis.
The announcement came amid further attacks on Saudi airports. RBC carried al-Maliki's statement on October 11, while NDTV also reported an interception over Al-Kharj. Those reports relay the coalition's account and do not independently establish the circumstances of the launch.
An attack a day earlier on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed 12 people and injured 309, Saudi aviation authorities said. The coalition pledged a decisive response. The statement about Al-Kharj did not provide information on casualties or damage on the ground.
