Corinthians appoint Seedorf as head coach through 2027
Brazilian club Corinthians announced Clarence Seedorf as their new head coach on Oct. 11. The 50-year-old Dutchman's contract runs until the end of 2027.
Seedorf described joining the club as an honor and a major responsibility. He said he intended to build a team that would fight for every ball and every victory.
Corinthians President Osmar Stabile said the choice reflected the leadership's view of the working style the club needs. He expressed confidence that the new coach and his staff would help the team through a difficult period in the Brazilian championship.
This is Seedorf's fifth coaching job. He previously managed Milan in 2014, Shenzhen in 2016, Deportivo in 2018 and Cameroon from 2018 to 2019. More recently, he served on the supervisory board of the Royal Dutch Football Association.
