Datagroup says damaged Kyiv data centre cannot be restored
Telecoms operator Datagroup said the equipment and infrastructure at its Kyiv data centre had been completely disabled and that the facility could not be restored or resume operations.
The company attributed the destruction to a Russian ballistic missile attack overnight into October 19. It said no data centre staff were injured. Russia's Defence Ministry had earlier announced a strike on the facility.
Datagroup is continuing to serve customers from backup sites.
