Around 100 companies join small fuel-deal registration on St Petersburg exchange

Around 100 companies joined the registration of off-exchange petroleum-product contracts of between one and 60 tonnes on the St Petersburg exchange in September, Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service said. Registered contract volumes reached 578.2 thousand tonnes.

Since September 1, 2026, companies and individual entrepreneurs have been able to submit information on these contracts voluntarily under government resolution 1111.

A separate requirement took effect on September 16: off-exchange supply contracts covering at least one tonne must be registered if the fuel was previously purchased through exchange trading.

Registration for contracts of between one and 60 tonnes, currently voluntary, will become mandatory on March 1, 2027.
