Dodo Pizza reports ordering outage and promises refunds for undelivered orders

Dodo Pizza reported on October 11 that its website and app were unavailable following an overnight accident at its cloud provider. It promised refunds, after checks, for paid orders that were not delivered.

The chain's press service said the disruption prevented customers from placing delivery, takeaway or in-store orders.

It attributed the problem to an accident affecting the provider's infrastructure, on which its services run. Its team was working with the provider to restore service.

Yandex had separately announced that its data centre in Vladimir stopped operating after an overnight drone attack, leaving some services unavailable.

Dodo attributed its own disruption to the cloud provider's accident. The chain's announcement gave no deadline for restoring its website and app or refunding customers.
