Two young men die in motorcycle crash in Visakhapatnam

Two 20-year-old men died after their motorcycle reportedly struck a road divider in Visakhapatnam on October 11, 2026. The Hindu reported the accident, citing Bheemunipatnam police inspector G. Diwakar.

The victims, identified as V. Akhil and P. Dhanunjaya, were residents of Allipuram. They had travelled to Mangamaripeta to play cricket and were riding to collect drinking water when the crash occurred at Nagarampalem Junction, within the Bheemunipatnam police station area.

Akhil was driving and died at the scene. Dhanunjaya was taken to King George Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival, the inspector said.

Police registered a case and sent the bodies for postmortem examinations. Investigators suspect excessive speed may have contributed to the accident. That remains a preliminary assessment.
