Drone attack prompts train diversions in Russia’s Bryansk region

Bryansk region Governor Egor Kovalchuk said on October 10 that a drone attack on a railway bridge in Vygonichi district damaged the tracks. He reported no injuries and said services on the Bryansk–Unecha–Gomel route were disrupted.
The governor attributed the attack to fixed-wing drones. Interfax also reported his account of the track damage and revised travel arrangements.
Moscow–Novozybkov trains will terminate at Bryansk-Orlovsky. Replacement buses will run through Vygonichi, Pochep, Unecha and Klintsy. Return journeys will use the same arrangement, with 8 buses assigned.
Minsk–Anapa services were diverted via Smolensk. Suburban journeys between Bryansk and Unecha will combine trains and buses, while bus services will extend to Zlynka.
The announcement gave no timetable for restoring normal operations. Both long-distance and suburban journeys were affected.
