Oryol governor reports substation damage and power cuts after drone attack

A substation in Russia’s Oryol region was damaged after a drone attack, leaving some homes without electricity, Governor Andrei Klychkov said on October 10. He reported no injuries and said restoration work had been organised.
NTV and Interfax carried Klychkov’s statement posted on Max. He said some households in Znamensky district had lost power. Authorities organised restoration work at the damaged substation. Interfax also reported his statement that drone fragments fell near an Orthodox church and a hospital.
Russia’s Defence Ministry separately reported 560 Ukrainian drones destroyed during the night. NTV also reported injuries in Rostov and Belgorod regions. Those reports concern the wider overnight attack. Klychkov said there were no injuries in the local incident.
