FAS finds Rostagrokompleks engaged in unfair competition

Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service found curd-snack producer Rostagrokompleks in breach of competition law after it failed to comply with a March warning, the agency reported on October 9.
The case followed a complaint from the owner of Aleksandrov K. B. trademarks. It said its competitor had written to retailers demanding they stop selling its products, citing exclusive rights to the B. Yu. Aleksandrov mark.
FAS found that Rostagrokompleks lacked those exclusive rights. It said the complainant's products carried its own registered marks and did not infringe another trademark.
The agency issued a binding order after the warning went unfulfilled. It will separately consider administrative liability. No fine was announced.
