Fire extinguished at infrastructure site in Russia’s Belgorod region after drone attack

On October 7, a fire broke out at an infrastructure site in the Yakovlevsky district of Belgorod region after a drone attack, the regional operations headquarters said. Severstal reported damage to a substation at its Yakovlevsky Mining and Processing Plant.

The company reported that the raid damaged the plant’s electrical substation. Emergency services were working at the scene to address the aftermath and assess the situation.

Severstal said there were no casualties. All mine personnel were promptly brought to the surface and moved to safety. The company confirmed damage to the plant’s power infrastructure but reported no injuries among workers.
