Four people, including minors, were taken to hospital after a Lada Priora and a Chevrolet collided in Neftekumsk district in Russia's Stavropol region, regional traffic police said.

Police said the crash happened on Wednesday at about 13.20 Moscow time. The 19-year-old Priora driver collided with the Chevrolet while overtaking. A 14-year-old was driving the Chevrolet.

The Chevrolet driver, his 13-year-old passenger and Priora passengers aged 18 were taken to hospital in Neftekumsk.

Police said the Chevrolet belonged to the teenager's father, who was held liable for allowing a person without a driving licence to drive. The agency was also considering parental liability for failure to fulfil upbringing duties.
