Four Russian gymnasts arrive in the Netherlands ahead of world championships

Daniel Marinov, Arseniy Dukhno, Sergei Naidin and Alyona Glotova arrived in the Netherlands for the artistic gymnastics world championships. TASS reported their arrival on October 13, citing the coaching staff.

The athletes were the first Russian participants to receive Schengen visas. They travelled from Moscow with coaches and doctors, connecting through Istanbul.

According to the account carried by RBC, their Moscow departure was delayed by 2.5 hours. The delegation nevertheless made its connecting flight to Amsterdam. It is due to travel from Amsterdam to Rotterdam by bus.

The tournament is scheduled for October 17-25 and forms part of qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This group's arrival does not mean visa issues have been resolved for Russia's entire entry: others were still awaiting decisions, while three gymnasts had previously been refused visas.
