Golikova reports a 23% decline in workplace accidents since 2015

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported a 23% decline in workplace accidents compared with 2015 on October 9, during Russian Occupational Safety Week.

Reports of her remarks specify that the comparison is between 2025 and 2015. It therefore describes a decade-long change rather than a one-year decline. RIA Novosti’s brief report did not provide absolute accident totals.

Golikova also said companies’ investment in occupational safety was increasing annually. The government regularly raises funding provided to employers for preventive measures, she said.

The 11th Russian Occupational Safety Week runs from October 7 to 10 in the federal territory of Sirius in Sochi. Its main theme concerns socially oriented technologies as a means of achieving national goals.
