Brazilian influencer Hariany Almeida has gone blonde again. She told CNN Brasil she had missed the lighter look and that her followers’ response helped her decide to make the change.
Almeida, 29, who appeared on the 19th season of Big Brother Brasil, said an online poll in which followers urged her to go blonde again strengthened her resolve. Hairstylist Getúlio Cruz created the look in Rio de Janeiro. Almeida said she had previously worn red and brown shades.
“I like to change, experiment and reinvent myself. When I feel like doing something, I can hardly hold back,” she told CNN Brasil. She said her hair tends to follow the stages of her life and that she wanted a brighter, lighter look this time.
Almeida said she has been spending more time in Rio, which also influenced her choice. “Blonde has a sunnier, almost Rio-like energy,” she joked. She is from Brazil’s Goiás state.
She said she now feels more comfortable making changes without worrying as much about other people’s opinions. “I’m feeling happy and, above all, more like myself again,” she said. Almeida described the new look as part of a more confident phase in her life.
