Ilia Borodin wins 400m medley silver in Tashkent

Russia’s Ilia Borodin finished second in the men’s 400-metre individual medley at the second stop of the short-course Swimming World Cup in Tashkent.
Borodin completed the final in three minutes 59.42 seconds on October 10. His silver medal is recorded on World Aquatics’ official athlete profile, while Russian sports outlets also reported the result.
American Carson Foster won the race in three minutes 58.82 seconds. Italy’s Alberto Razzetti took bronze in four minutes 1.53 seconds, according to the results published by Championat.
That left Borodin six-tenths of a second behind the winner and ahead of Razzetti on the podium. His result applies to the individual medley final, rather than the overall World Cup standings.
The Tashkent meet ran from October 8 to 10 in Uzbekistan. Russian swimmers competed with their national flag and anthem, Sport-Express reported.
