Kallas puts Ukraine’s daily lost export revenue at €60 million

Ukraine is losing an estimated €60 million a day in export revenue because of disruptions to maritime shipments, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said.

Addressing the European Parliament in Strasbourg on October 20, Kallas linked the losses to Russian strikes on Ukrainian export routes. The published text of her speech listed ports, agricultural infrastructure, vessels and grain storage facilities among the targets.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had instead blamed Kyiv’s actions for threats to safe navigation in the Black Sea in remarks on October 1.
