Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev withdraw from Shanghai doubles

Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev have withdrawn from the Shanghai Masters doubles event. The official ATP draw lists Rublev's fatigue as the reason.

Robert Cash of the United States and Alexander Erler of Austria replaced the Russian duo. Their opening opponents are Austria's Lucas Miedler and Neil Oberleitner, the pair originally drawn against Khachanov and Rublev.

The document records a replacement before the match, rather than a defeat after play began. The withdrawal concerns doubles, with each player's singles participation treated separately.

Khachanov continued in singles after beating Arthur Fery on October 9, with Adrian Mannarino next. Rublev's singles campaign ended with a defeat by Rei Sakamoto.

The Shanghai tournament runs from October 7 to 18 on hard courts. Its doubles draw contains 32 teams, headed by top seeds Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski.
