Kiriyenko says MAX audience exceeds 140 million users

Sergey Kiriyenko said the national messenger MAX had attracted more than 140 million users over a year and was available in 40 countries. RIA Novosti reported the presidential administration first deputy chief’s remarks on 9 October.

Kiriyenko gave the figures during the high-level plenary session Digital Sovereignty: From a Resource to an Export Asset at the second Global Digital Forum. His stated audience figure referred to users accumulated over a year, without specifying daily or monthly activity.

Separately, he put the Russian app store RuStore’s audience at more than 100 million users over several years. Comparing that figure with Russia’s internet market, he cited approximately 150 million residents and just over 120 million active internet users.

The second Global Digital Forum is taking place in Moscow from 8 to 10 October. The MAX and RuStore figures in the report are those Kiriyenko presented at the event.
