Kochetkov becomes second Hurricanes goalie to open season with five wins
Pyotr Kochetkov has won his first five games of the NHL season, becoming the second goaltender in Hurricanes franchise history to open a campaign with that streak.
According to the NHL, Frederik Andersen was the only previous goalie to achieve the feat, winning eight consecutive games to begin the 2021-22 season.
