Kyiv metro resumes service after power interruption

Kyiv’s metro resumed service on October 10 after trains and escalators were temporarily stopped by a loss of power. A later Sputnik report put the interval between trains at an increased 15 minutes.
The city administration attributed the stoppage to a loss of voltage from external power-supply centers. Some tram and trolleybus services were also interrupted.
RBC-Ukraine reported restrictions in Holosiivskyi and parts of the Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Pecherskyi districts.
DTEK separately reported an emergency outage in Southern Borshchahivka following infrastructure damage. Workers began repairs, but the company did not specify how many homes were affected or when restoration would finish.
Three metro lines had also stopped on October 8. The October 10 resumption concerns trains operating with longer intervals between services.
