Kyiv police notify detained man of suspicion after recruitment centre shooting

A 41-year-old Kyiv resident has been formally notified of suspicion following a shooting at the Pechersk territorial recruitment and social support centre, Kyiv police said.

The police said the man opened fire inside the centre the previous day. Three police officers and three military personnel were injured.

Police said the allegations involved attempted intentional murder, an attack on the lives of law enforcement officers and unlawful handling of weapons. The department said he could face life imprisonment.
