Lafreniere extends NHL goal streak to career-best four games

Alexis Lafreniere scored in a fourth consecutive NHL game for the first time in his career, recording two goals as the New York Rangers defeated Tampa Bay 4–1.
The Canadian opened the scoring sixty-two seconds into the game and struck again in the thirteenth minute of the first period. Tye Kartye assisted both goals. The NHL's official report confirmed the result and career-best streak.
Lafreniere has scored seven goals over the four games. His run began with a hat trick against the New York Islanders on October 6, followed by a goal apiece against Washington and Vancouver.
All seven of his goals this season came during that sequence. He had not previously scored in four consecutive NHL appearances.
The Rangers selected Lafreniere first overall in the 2020 draft. Their victory over Tampa Bay preserved a perfect home record through five games at the start of the season.
