Granlund extends season-opening point streak to six games

Anaheim captain Mikael Granlund extended his season-opening NHL point streak to six games. His assist helped the Ducks score against Calgary, but they lost 4–2.
The game was played on October 13 local time. Granlund assisted Leo Carlsson's first-period power-play goal, which temporarily gave Anaheim a 2–1 lead.
The Finnish forward now has eight points, comprising two goals and six assists. He has recorded a point in every one of Anaheim's first six regular-season games.
Before this game, Granlund contributed points against Vegas, Florida, Edmonton, Winnipeg and in the first Calgary meeting. The return matchup extended his streak but did not bring a team victory.
The thirty-four-year-old became Anaheim's captain in September 2026. His previous NHL clubs include Minnesota, Nashville, Pittsburgh, San Jose and Dallas. The Ducks remain on four victories through six games.
