The aviation expert's widow attended a YouTube event in São Paulo and said she is still unable to continue work on the channel Aviões e Músicas.
Seidl, 41, attended the Você na Era YouTube event on October 7. She had previously said Brandcast would be the only scheduled event she planned to attend after her husband's death. Lito Sousa, she said, loved the event.
She told CNN Brasil she went with a friend who was providing emotional support. In a social media post, Seidl said she was not yet able to record videos for Aviões e Músicas. She said she was trying to stay strong for her son and find a way forward after the loss.
Sousa died on October 1 at age 59. CNN Brasil reported that he had Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare degenerative condition diagnosed just over a month earlier. He began experimental treatment with the drug ALN-6457 in September. The medicine had been brought to Brazil urgently.
A public memorial was held in São Paulo on October 2. A private gathering for relatives and close friends followed.
