Mirzoyan pledges response to report on suspending EAEU treaty

Armenia is reviewing a report on the possible consequences of suspending the EAEU treaty's application to the country and will prepare a response, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
Representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council presented the document on Tuesday.
Mirzoyan told reporters he was unaware of a legal mechanism allowing some union members to exclude another member or freeze its membership.
He also said Armenia's sovereignty and independence would guide its response. Interfax reported that the document would be sent to the heads of the EAEU member states for consideration.
