Mishin praises Ignatova after Denis Ten Memorial victory

Alexei Mishin praised Alexandra Ignatova, also known as Trusova, after her victory at the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty. In comments published on October 10, the coach said her skating had improved.
The Russian skater won the women’s singles competition with 226.01 points across the short programme and free skate. Mishin gave his positive assessment to Sport-Express.
South Korea’s Kim Yu-jae finished second with 209.20 points. Sofya Samodelkina, representing Kazakhstan, took bronze with 204.36.
Ignatova’s winning margin over the silver medallist was 16.81 points. The gap between second and third was 4.84 points.
The Denis Ten Memorial was part of the Challenger Series and ran in Kazakhstan from October 8 to 10. Alexandra has competed under the surname Ignatova since returning to figure skating.
