Mishustin arrives in Dushanbe for SCO heads of government meeting

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Dushanbe on October 19 for a two-day visit. He will attend a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's Council of Heads of Government.

Participants will discuss trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between member countries. The meeting takes place in the organisation's 25th anniversary year.

Russia's government press office said the agenda includes implementing agreements reached by national leaders and the SCO development strategy running to 2035.

The meeting is expected to adopt a concept for a common digital platform to manage multimodal overland freight transport. Another planned document concerns support for the sustainable development of international rail freight between SCO countries.
