Moscow Region reports more than 35,000 high-tech care recipients this year
The regional Health Ministry said 38 medical institutions provide the treatment across 14 specialities, subject to medical indications.
Moscow Region Health Minister Maxim Zabelin reported the number of residents receiving high-tech medical care since the start of 2026 on October 13. The ministry's press service supplied the figures. The total refers to recipients during that period rather than new institutions or procedures.
The care involves complex specialist treatment using advanced technology, particular diagnostic methods and equipment. Services include cardiovascular surgery, oncology, traumatology and orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology.
The ministry said treatment was available without charge under compulsory medical insurance when medically indicated. A medical commission decides whether to prescribe it based on examination results. Zabelin said development of the service allowed residents to obtain complex treatment within their own region instead of travelling elsewhere.
