Muchova completes singles field for WTA Finals in Indian Wells

Karolina Muchova secured the final singles berth at the WTA Finals after Marta Kostyuk retired from her second-round match against Ekaterina Alexandrova in Ningbo, completing the field for the season-ending tournament.

Kostyuk can no longer overtake Muchova in the qualification race and will be the first alternate. The WTA officially confirmed the Czech player's qualification.

Muchova joins Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Elina Svitolina and Linda Noskova.

The tournament will take place in Indian Wells from November 8 to 15. Rybakina is the defending champion, having beaten Sabalenka in last year's final.
