Sergey Brin, Jensen Huang, Lisa Su and Elon Musk received the National Medal of Science, while Michael Dell and Satya Nadella received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

President Donald Trump presented national awards to six technology executives at the Science: A New Golden Age summit. The White House said their work had contributed to technologies that have reshaped industries and become part of everyday life.

The National Medal of Science went to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, AMD CEO Lisa Su and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. Dell Technologies chief Michael Dell and Microsoft chief Satya Nadella received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

The National Medal of Science has been presented by U.S. presidents since 1963, while the technology medal was first awarded in 1985. The Associated Press noted that previous science medal recipients have mainly been academic researchers and scientists.

The White House citations highlighted Brin's work on information-retrieval and data-processing algorithms, Huang's development of graphics processors, Su's semiconductor engineering, and Musk's space and communications projects. Dell was recognized for expanding access to personal and enterprise computing, while Nadella's citation focused on Microsoft's cloud infrastructure.

Michael Kratsios, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, described the recipients as innovators shaping the future. Musk separately congratulated the other medalists in a post on X.
