Novak estimates US diesel delivery time after contracts are signed
Russian diesel could reach the United States 15–20 days after contracts are signed, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. Commercial terms remain under negotiation.
Novak gave the estimate in an interview with the Vesti news service reported by RIA Novosti on October 18. He linked the start of that period to the signing of contracts rather than the date of his statement.
Deliveries to other countries closer to Russia would take less time, the deputy prime minister said.
The contract talks followed an October 9 telephone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. The presidents agreed during that call on supplies of Russian diesel to the world market.
