One-third of Mail survey respondents willing to delegate routine tasks to AI

One-third of respondents in a survey by Mail’s email and news services said they would delegate routine work and personal tasks to artificial intelligence. The survey covered 3,600 News Mail readers in September, with results published on October 13.
The most popular proposed tasks were finding files and data, at 22%, personal reminders at 15%, and sorting messages and emails at 11%. These are responses about desired AI use, rather than measures of actual adoption.
Half of respondents said they would spend time saved on rest and recovery. Another 30% chose family and loved ones, while 20% chose hobbies and interests.
Four in ten respondents encounter large numbers of open browser tabs, around 20 or more. One in five accumulates chats with unread messages. Notes and duplicate files were identified as sources of digital clutter by 15% of respondents.
The sample consists of the service’s readers. The reported shares therefore describe that group’s answers and do not automatically establish the attitudes of Russia’s entire population.
