Osokina and Gritsaenko end their skating partnership

Russian figure skater Elizaveta Osokina announced the end of her partnership with Artem Gritsaenko and said she was taking a break from her own competitive career.

In a social media post, the 19-year-old thanked those involved in her 16 years in skating. She recalled injuries, successes and difficult periods and described moving into a new stage of life.

Osokina began in singles and switched to pairs in 2022. With Gritsaenko, she won and earned podium finishes at Russian Grand Prix events.

Last season the pair finished sixth at both the Russian championships and the national Grand Prix final. They trained under Pavel Slyusarenko and Yegor Zakroyev.
