Sanderson returns to Senators practice after missing eight games

Ottawa defenseman Jake Sanderson practised with the team on October 19. The NHL reports that he is expected to return against Florida on October 21.

Sanderson suffered a lower-body injury in the regular-season opener against Toronto on October 3. He then missed eight consecutive games.

He recorded 54 points last season, with 14 goals and 40 assists, making him the Senators' highest-scoring defenseman.

If cleared to play, the Florida matchup would be Sanderson's second appearance of the current regular season.
