Pellegrini criticises Bernal dismissal after Yamal clash

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini said Facundo Bernal’s dismissal decided the match against Barcelona and accused Lamine Yamal of provocation.

Bernal received a straight red card in the 54th minute, with Betis trailing 2-3, for headbutting an opponent during a confrontation.

Pellegrini said Yamal provoked the clash and Bernal responded. He argued that the referee should have cautioned both players instead of sending either off. He also congratulated Yamal on his goal.

Barcelona leads La Liga with 27 points from nine matches. Betis is third with 19 points.
