Razin says SKA showed interest before his Metallurg extension
Andrei Razin told Sport-Express that he learned of SKA's interest before extending his contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk. He chose to remain with Metallurg at the time.
Razin said his agent had informed him of the St Petersburg club's interest. He suggested that Metallurg subsequently learned about it and offered him an extension.
The coach said he requested no special conditions and accepted the same terms as before. He had led Metallurg since 2023.
In December, Metallurg announced an extension through the end of the 2027/28 season. That agreement ended on October 18, when SKA appointed the 52-year-old as head coach.
