Brinda Vihari release moves to November 20

The makers of Ganesh’s Brinda Vihari have moved its worldwide release from October 16 to November 20 to avoid competing with Premada Oorali.
Producer and legislator Samruddhi V. Manjunath announced the change to reporters in Hubballi on October 10. He said the team did not want to take screens away from a film made by newcomers that was still drawing audiences.
Director Srinivasa Raju backed the postponement. He said the musical love story needed a proper theatrical launch, but competition for screens could disrupt the other Kannada film’s run.
Ganesh also agreed to the change after taking part in the promotional campaign. The actor said he supported the producer’s proposal. He plays Madhava in Brinda Vihari.
The original plan was to open on about 1,300 screens nationwide. The Hindu and Cinema Express confirmed the new release date. The postponement changes the timetable rather than cancelling the theatrical release.
