Rezaei says Iran will not send enriched uranium abroad

Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary, Mohsen Rezaei, said enriched nuclear material would remain in the country. He made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistan's army chief Asim Munir.

Rezaei described the material as national wealth intended for use inside Iran. Tasnim reported that he also ruled out talks with the United States until Washington took steps to rebuild trust.

He said fulfilling Iran's conditions should be the first step in that process. Pakistan has been mediating contacts between Tehran and Washington.

In September, President Masoud Pezeshkian offered to dilute uranium enriched to 60%.
