Rockfall disrupts gas supply to 11 villages in Dagestan

A rockfall damaged gas pipes in Dagestan’s Tsumadinsky district on October 14, interrupting supplies to 11 settlements, the regional emergencies department reported.
The damage occurred between Gigatli-Urukh and Agvali. The district’s unified dispatch service relayed information about the emergency outage.
The affected villages were Kochali, Gigikh, Nizhneye Gakvari, Tindi, Tissi, Tissi-Akhitli, Khushtada, Tlondoda, Kvanada, Gimerso and Richaganikh.
A six-person team from the local Gazprom Gas Distribution Dagestan branch was assigned to emergency repairs. The daytime announcement gave 19:00 Moscow time on October 14 as the approximate target for restoring supplies.
That was an estimated deadline. The available reports do not confirm that gas service was actually restored, so the target time should not be treated as a completed repair.
